The “Quinta da Cova do Milho” is situated in the so called country houses area, in Santo António da Serra, Santa Cruz, at about 10 minutes from Madeira's International Airport.

The "Quinta" was built around 1930 by the “Farra” family and then burned by themselves as a way of avoiding illegal occupation by others during the 25ª April 1974 revolution. Later on in the year 1993 the “Quinta” was acquired by the “Pontes” family.

It was in a completely abandoned state and has been rebuilt along the years.
The “Quinta” offers guests a luxuriant landscape with hundred-year-old trees, gardens and exotic flowers. Guests have the chance to enjoy close contact to nature in a familiar and peaceful environment.

The Quinta da Cova do Milho is situated in Santo António da Serra, Santa Cruz, about 10 minutes from the Santa Catarina airport. It was built around 1930 by the Farra family and then burned by the owners as a way of avoiding illegal occupation by others during the April 1974 revolution. Later on, in the year 1993, the Quinta was acquired by the Pontes family. It was in a completely abandoned state and has been rebuilt along the years.

Getting there - Quinta da Cova do Milho

"Quinta da Cova do Milho" is located in Santo António da Serra, council of Santa Cruz in the island of Madeira. The Santo da Serra Village is about 10 minutes away from the airport and about 25 minutes from Funchal city. When you leave the airport enter the high-way towards Funchal and a few metres ahead you will see a sign “Santo António da Serra” telling you to go out the high-away. Then you have to go up a few kilometres always following the signs “Santo da Serra”. As soon as you arrive at the top of the hill you will see the golf course on your right. Pass the golf course gate and then you have to turn on the first street on your left where we have our "Quinta da Cova do Milho" sign. It’s a narrow street at first and it’s called “Caminho do Poiso”. Finally a few metres ahead you will see our wooden-sign “Quinta da Cova do Milho”. Welcome!

Cancellation

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and extra beds

All children from 3 to 14 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night when using existing bedding.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.
Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.
