Hotel situated 20 minutes' drive from the Santo da Serra Golf Course (27 holes), and 10 minutes' drive from the Palheiro Golf course (18 holes). 7km from the city centre; a courtesy bus service is available to and from the centre of Funchal several times per day.

Getting there - Choupana Hills Resort & Spa

Leaving the Madeira International Airport in direction to Funchal, on the highway and take Exit nº 13 where you will find a sign to the “Jardim Botanico” (Botanical gardens) and Camacha. Turn left. This will direct you to Funchal. After having gone under a viaduct, continue straight ahead (downhill) for approximately 2 km when you will reach a turn-off on your right with an indication to the Botanical Gardens and Choupana Hills. Take this turn-off and continue to the Botanical Gardens which, when you get there, will be on your left.

Directly after the Botanical Gardens turn left and continue ascending until you reach the Restaurante do Miranda (Miranda Restaurant) on your right, where you should also turn right. Continue along this road, which will bring you to a sharp left bend and an ascending street with trees on both sides. Continue ascending. You will come across 2 tight curves, one on your left and one to your right, continue ascending until you find a turn-off to your left (signpost “Choupana Hills”), take it and in another 250 meters you will find the Choupana Hills Resort   Spa!

Cancellation and No-show

3 nights' cancellation fee will be charged if the reservation – guaranteed by credit card, prepayment or in writing – is cancelled less than 3 days prior to arrival. During peak season, the full stay (BB) will be charged if the reservation is cancelled with less than 15 days prior to arrival. For Christmas/New Year period a, 50% of the stay, non-refundable deposit will be charged if reservation is cancelled later than 30 days prior to arrival date. In case of No-show full stay will be charged for any season.

Early Departures

A maximum of 3 nights (BB) will be charged for early departures, from date of departure, if the reservation had been guaranteed by credit card, prepayment or in writing. In peak seasons, the full stay (BB) will be charged, including the Gala dinners.

Children and extra beds

There is a 50% discount on pension terms (BB/HB/FB) and room rate when sharing parents’ room for children (3-10). Maximum 1 child free of charge when sharing parents’ room (0–3)

A deposit of 50% of the full stay (incl. gala dinners) is necessary to confirm reservations which include the 31st of December. The deposit can be made through credit card or bank transfer.

Meal arrangements

Peak Season: Christmas   New Year (23rd December 2007 to 03rd January 2008) (Minimum stay of 7 nights required for any booking including New Year’s Eve). A deposit of 50% of the full stay (incl.gala dinners) is necessary to confirm a reservation which includes 31st December. The deposit can be made through credit card or bank transfer. Easter 17th to 24th March 2008 Minimum stay of 7 nights required for any booking including Easter period) *Compulsory Gala Dinners during Easter, Christmas and New Year period Rates: All rates are quoted in Euros and are quoted per room/per night. All room rates include VAT, free use of Spa facilities (sauna, hammam, indoor/outdoor pool, and gym), deck chairs and towels and courtesy shuttle bus Hotel-Funchal-Hotel, but exclude breakfast. Full Buffet Breakfast in the Xôpana Restaurant: Euro 17/person/day. The management reserves the right to alter the rates without prior notice. Note: No refund will be given for meals which have not been taken.
